Attachment Declaration
1. Attachment Overview
The Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI), as the statutory regulator of the nutrition and dietetics profession, mandates a structured and concentrated practicum designed to build, assess, and consolidate core professional competencies required for safe and effective practice. The Attachment serves as a supervised, competency-based professional experience through which trainees demonstrate readiness for entry into regulated practice. It is a mandatory requirement for eligibility to sit the KNDI National Professional Registration Examination in the respective professional discipline. The Attachment builds upon the theoretical foundation acquired at certificate, diploma, and degree levels in nutrition and dietetics, in alignment with the prescribed KNDI Core Curriculum Guidelines. Completion of the Attachment establishes eligibility to sit for the KNDI National Professional Examination, a prerequisite for registration and professional recognition by KNDI.
