Inception Meeting for Brookside Products Value Chain

KNDI CEO (Dr. David Okeyo-2nd Left) and Accreditation Committee Chairperson (Prof. Gordon Nguka-1ST Left) both as inspectors lead a team of inspectors in full operations attire to undertake a value chain analysis process at Brookside Dairy Limited.

These 4 days process was initiated at 9.30 am on 3rd October, 2023 .  The value chain process intends to assure the public on the nutrition relevant claims on four products namely: Lactose free milk, Probiotic Yoghurt, Functional UHT milk with Vitamins A&D and Functional UHT with Vitamin A & Fiber.

The process in anchored within Section 6 (j) read together with section 36 (2) of nutritionists and dieticians Act, 18, 2007 (Cap 253B). also present were Dr. Silvenus Konyole (Inspector-Food Scientists) and Mr. Martin Kiome (Inspector-Accreditation Secretary). Value Chain Process staff at Brookside included Caroline Muchobia, Dickson Chege, Robert Ngeno, Stellah Chepngetich, Peter Mbugua, Rahab Mumbi, Miruka Dominic and Gladys Wanjau.
